LOUD at Creating Change!

In early February, LOUD went with two ensemble members to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's Creating Change Conference in Denver, CO thanks to a grant from The Theater Offensive. There, LOUD saw inspiring demonstrations against racism, transphobia and police violence, participated in workshops with queer and trans* organizations from around the country, and even went to our first Queer Ball! Along with co-producer Rebecca Mwase, members interfaced with youth and adult members of the Pride Youth Theater Alliance, the national network of queer youth theaters of which LOUD is a member. We were thrilled to connect with other activists and artists from around the country, particularly the fierce activists of color who were dedicated to keeping the message of solidarity and undoing all oppression at the forefront.
